"CREATOR takes the reader on an adventure of the spirit-waking us all up to the creative joy of life. Through masterful personal storytelling, Steve Chandler enables you to see for yourself the light of creativity, in all of us, that shows up in the ordinary moments of our lives. Buckle up and experience this extraordinary journey of the human spirit, born from curiosity, love, and consciousness. You will be touched, moved, inspired and rediscover how magnificent and connected you (and we) really are." Devon Bandison, author of Fatherhood Is Leadership*** "If the path to enlightenment is paved with the gold of insight, then Steve Chandler's book, CREATOR, is the Yellow Brick Road. Every page, paragraph, and even line, it seems, resonates with the truth that is within me and awakens me to a desire to create. To progress. To Be." Andrew McKee, author of Change Your Game, Change Your Life***"This is Steve Chandler's best book yet. His stories are funny, engaging, thought-provoking and inspiring, and he helps us see that we are all connected through our energy and creative potential. He helps me see my relationship to my God-given creativity differently. The source of everything is always there for us to tap into at any moment. I have used this book to change my work, my relationships and my life." Tina Quinn, author of Invisible Things***"CREATOR is magic in print! I was completely captivated (and thoroughly entertained) by how Steve Chandler effortlessly floats between spiritually profound and real-world practicality and helps us navigate it all along the way. CREATOR breaks down the walls of our 'conditioning' (even his take on THAT concept created a big shift for me) and introduces us to a life made more prosperous, more fun, more fulfilling and more joyful through the always-available-on-demand power of our creativity!" Jason Goldberg, author of Prison Break

Is creativity reserved for a rare, chosen few—or is it alive in each of us, behind our every breath, our every heartbeat? In CREATOR, Steve Chandler takes us on a voyage of discovery, beyond labels and categories, to a revelation about the true nature of creativity. It is not just within us—it is us. CREATOR opens our eyes and hearts to a new way of being in the world. Wise, poetic, funny—and eminently practical—CREATOR is a lucid and joyful exploration of who we really are.

Where the temporary evolves, and the timeless stays the same! I've followed Steve chandler for the last 7 years, and seen him evolve and like a child(in the best sense) listen for what he doesn't know, and at the same time CREATE from what he does know. He doesn't wait until he knows something he doesn't know now. Because as he talks about, creating something only ever happens now. That to me points toward the fact that part of what he talks about in his books is always changing, and he loves the creative act of changing it. And the other part is.. Timeless. If you listen and read carefully, there are timeless gems in this book that speaks to the very essence of life and being a human, and Creator is a perfect example of that. He mixes the almost mysterious untouchable process of creation that makes your mind explode with a on the ground practical "JUST GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND CREATE SOMETHING ALREADY". This combination is where all the juice is, where the unknown meets the known, and infinite meets the finite. He also has NO skin in the game on what creation looks like, in-fact he dismantles the idea that it should like anything in particular. It could be writing, dancing, playing a sport, moving, singing, talking, fighting, literally anything. a creative act is not just painting a piece of art, it's everything. The reason I love his writing and his live talks is cause he is hilarious and profound at the same time. You can laugh and you can cry, you can keep reading or keep living, it up to you, and it's all in the book! I also love his short-chapter-style that both follow the overall flow of the book, but could stand on its own as a separate piece of art. Keep creating Steve! Now hold my coffee while I go create something. Right now.You stuck? Read a Steve Chandler book. No one. I mean no one is more entertaining while getting straight to the point than Steve Chandler. This man can reduce the most complex human struggle to a simple, understandable metaphor to foster a shift like Alan Jackson can turn a country phrase. And he only gets better. The only explanation is that he taps into exactly what he writes about in his new book. Highly recommend and enjoying myself this morning! No Escaping Creativity! As much as we might want to deny who we really are - Steve Chandler won't let us! We are Creativity, Source, Divine Inspiration, Pure Energy - and our entire lives are a creative endeavor! What a truth-filled, eye-opening, and mind-expanding book! What I love about Steve Chandler is he never stops learning and every book he writes, we get to go along for the transformational ride!

Great for those with less than stellar vision Gift for a person that has a hard time seeing fine detail. It’s hard to enjoy coloring and de-stress if the pictures are frustrating. Recipient loved it!Great for seniors I got this book for my mom who is 68. She would be the type to get overwhelmed at most coloring books that have way too intricate designs. But this book is great for her. The pictures are pretty and easy to color without being too simple and kid like.Great and Easy Adult Coloring Book This is a great coloring book filled with pretty and big flowers. Very relaxing to color. You won’t find any of the tiny and intricate shapes like the many other adult coloring books out there which is refreshing to see. The Gilded Wolves Download

ISBN: B07CWQGFMK
Title: The Gilded Wolves Pdf

*AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER*

From New York Times bestselling author Roshani Chokshi comes The Gilded Wolves, a novel set in Paris during a time of extraordinary change--one that is full of mystery, decadence, and dangerous desires...

No one believes in them. But soon no one will forget them.

It's 1889. The city is on the cusp of industry and power, and the Exposition Universelle has breathed new life into the streets and dredged up ancient secrets. Here, no one keeps tabs on dark truths better than treasure-hunter and wealthy hotelier Séverin Montagnet-Alarie. When the elite, ever-powerful Order of Babel coerces him to help them on a mission, Séverin is offered a treasure that he never imagined: his true inheritance.

To hunt down the ancient artifact the Order seeks, Séverin calls upon a band of unlikely experts: An engineer with a debt to pay. A historian banished from his home. A dancer with a sinister past. And a brother in arms if not blood.

Together, they will join Séverin as he explores the dark, glittering heart of Paris. What they find might change the course of history--but only if they can stay alive.

"Wolves were everywhere...They cut their teeth on history and grew fat on war." I was lucky enough to get an early copy of The Gilded Wolves in a trade and I LOVED this adventure. The Gilded wolves was an awesome mix of danger, gorgeous storytelling and incredibly interesting characters.Severin and company are the perfect blend. They each have their own strengths, weaknesses and secrets that make this crew exactly what this book needs. It is clear that everything is motivated by Severin's overall end goal, but Laila, Zofia, Enrique and Tristan each take their own stages in this story. Their individual plot lines tie everything in perfectly. I really liked that Severin had his distant moments, but he didn't have that dark, low key terrible person that has done very terrible things vibe that you get with some leaders in this genre. The end will make you feel such a whirlwind of emotions it's not even funny. Brace yourself to be hurt, angry and conflicted.Buckle up, beautiful people. It's going to be a long wait for TGW 2, but I know it's going to be worth it.Tragic Heroes, Found Families, and Impossible Heists With The Gilded Wolves, Roshani Chokshi has constructed a unique fantasy heist novel that also functions as a commentary on cultural theft under the guise of historical preservation. Séverin Montagnet-Alarie thought he knew his place in the world, as heir to House Vanth. But when the other heads of the Houses of France turned him away, denying him his rightful place as the next patriarch of House Vanth, Séverin made it his mission to steal back what had been taken from him. With a team of smart and unusually gifted individuals, Séverin has caused a myriad of trouble for the Order of Babel, the organization in charge of the Houses of France, stealing back artifacts belonging to his own House and returning stolen cultural artifacts to their countries and peoples of origin. When Hypnos, patriarch of House Nyx offers Séverin a second chance at claiming his inheritance in exchange for stealing a mysterious artifact from another House, Séverin’s blind ambition lands him and his crew in the middle of a conspiracy that will test each character’s resolve and pit them against a dangerous organization. The Gilded Wolves has one of the best casts of characters I’ve come across. I love how each character has their own personality, set of skills, and way of perceiving in the world. Chokshi excels at creating characters whose cultural and sexual identities are incredibly important to them. Identity is the driving force behind all of their motivations and heavily influences how they see themselves. Séverin is obsessed with reclaiming his birthright and isn’t afraid to take dangerous risks in order to do so. Though a natural leader, he isn’t always honest with himself and holds the faulty belief that if he can just become patriarch, he’ll have everything he’s always wanted. Tristan is Séverin’s closest companion, having grown up in a number of foster homes alongside him. Tristan is more interested in his pet tarantula than his adopted brother’s schemes, but they are both fiercely protective of one another. Laila is in her element when she is either in the kitchen baking or taking care of others. Masquerading as a courtesan becomes incredibly resourceful as she is able to gain access to places that would otherwise be closed off to Séverin and his crew. Laila’s past is the most mysterious. Save for Séverin, no one knows of her ability to read memories tied to objects. This gift, or perhaps more aptly a curse, is tied to her origins that even she doesn’t quite understand. One of my favorite things about this group of characters is the witty dialogue and no one exemplifies this more than the young historian Enrique. From the get-go, he had me in stitches. His humor is always a breath of fresh air and I really like that Chokshi’s doesn’t sacrifice the rest of his character for the sake of comedic relief. Enrique not only has a passion for history, but for his country’s freedom. The Philippines has been under Spain’s thumb for the last 300 years and Enrique wants to be part of helping his country gain independence. Zofia is more adequate when it comes to making bombs than making friends. Some of the most rewarding scenes in this one involve Zofia and Laila. The latter shows incredible patience, slowly helping Zofia come out her shell. The final character is the enigmatic Hypnos, the young patriarch of House Nyx, who was once childhood pals with Séverin. Hypnos is both arrogant and charming. Though regarded as more of an enemy at first, Hynpos feels draw to Séverin and his friends, to their camaraderie, for there’s no denying that Hypnos’s easy smiles actually hide a loneliness underneath. If you like fantasies rooted in history, Chokshi’s latest novel is the one for you. Chokshi pays close attention to detail, bringing not only her characters, but this world to life. It took a little bit of time for me as a reader to be comfortable moving through this intricate world, but once I did, it was one I wasn’t quite ready to let go of with the closing pages. Forging was an aspect that I really wanted to explore more of. There are individuals in this world able to manipulate matter and the mind, the latter of which is highly regulated as it includes the ability to control minds and create illusions. The former takes on many forms, including the ability to manipulate metal and stone into different forms, even lifelike creatures. If you like tragic heroes, found families and impossible heists, Roshani Chokshi’s The Gilded Wolves is one you don’t want to miss. I’ll be spending the next year eagerly anticipating the sequel and reeling from this one’s gut-punch of an ending.Mkay Let's cut to the chase. This novel has three issues: the pacing is awkward because of the random infodumps that didn't give us the information we needed, more infodumpiness was needed to introduce us to the relationships between the characters (see other comments about us being dumped into a second book instead of a first), and the characters felt like impressions of other book characters rather than constructs of real people.Pros: Prose, lush setting, eventual character development, twists. On second thought, I'm bumping this one up to four stars. The diverse cast was at least interesting enough for the sequel. If I want to read the sequel, I should at least rate it four stars for overall impression.

The Minimalist Home Download

ISBN: B07KWBRY92
Title: The Minimalist Home Pdf A Room-by-Room Guide to a Decluttered, Refocused Life

A popular minimalist blogger and author of The More of Less shows you how to methodically turn your home into a place of peace, contentment, and purposeful living.

One of today's most influential minimalist advocates takes us on a decluttering tour of our own houses and apartments, showing us how to decide what to get rid of and what to keep. He both offers practical guidelines for simplifying our lifestyle at home and addresses underlying issues that contribute to overaccumulation in the first place.

The purpose is not just to create a more inviting living space. It's also to turn our life's HQ - our home - into a launching pad for a more fulfilling and productive life in the world.

Disappointing.... Too much babble and not enough advice. We all know.....keep, sell, toss...........however, no motivating advice to help procrastinators. I did enjoy others' personal stories. Also.....he was pushing the readers to post his advice and tag the book. Pretty self serving if you ask me......Don't clutter up your home with this one! Many thanks to NetGalley, Waterbrook and Multnomah, and Joshua Becker for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are 100% my own and independent of receiving an advanced copy.Joshua Becker has been in the “minimal” business for about 10 years. He has a website where you can get lots of tips and advice, including a newsletter sent to your inbox every so often. He has written other books but this one is sort of the culmination of his life’s work. He has been on TV, speaks all over and I have been following him for the past couple of years. In today’s world of massive consumerism, we can all use a dose of paring down and keeping things simple. We all have too much stuff. We are promoted, advertised, propagandized into thinking that it’s all stuff we need, what we have isn’t the right stuff and that the more stuff we have the happier we will be. This has been going on for years, I mean George Carlin had a bit about “Stuff” in the early 80’s. So I was excited to read what Becker had to say on what he promotes as a step by step, comprehensive room-by-room guide to decluttering your home and your life.Ugh - what an awful read. First I felt like his tone was so condescending. I couldn’t take it. Obviously I have a lot of stuff - that’s why I’m reading this book. He would repeat himself, ad nauseam, throughout the whole book. There wasn’t any comprehensive guide - again, he would repeat the same thing over and over for each room, literally the same steps - for each room! Why bother going through each room, listing all of the possible things you might have accumulated, telling me “get rid of what you don’t use or don’t need”. Obviously I knew that much! I don’t need a book for that. I was hoping for some insight, maybe some ideas that I hadn’t thought of to help declutter, some instructions. There was no real guidance other than “don’t do it” for lasting change. Then, don’t tell me how my life is going to change, I will become richer, have a fabulous job, help the poor, have more time, blah blah blah, just because you told me to get rid of some stuff. I didn’t buy any of it. I have decluttered before and none of those things have happened to me. The “real life” examples were ridiculous, laughable. Look, I believe in keeping a home without a lot of junk. Nobody needs piles of clothes, lots of knick knacks, and yes, you should keep those things that mean something to you. You shouldn’t get sucked into marketing ideas of having the latest, greatest and best thing out there, which will go out of date and then you need something new. I also happen to live with a (mild case) hoarder, who believes every rock, piece of junk, paper, etc. is extremely important and sentimental and will not throw out anything. So according to Becker, those are the things to keep. Not helpful. But without something new or real to add to the discussion, don’t fill up a book with one idea. My advice is don’t add one more book to your bookshelf with this one.Covers all but one thing This is an excellent book--logical, sensible, and worth reading. The one thing missing is "how" to get rid of things. Certain items, like used clothing, are covered, but the problem comes with family heirlooms you no longer want (and no one else does, either) or things, like valuable silver, that you can't just put in the trash. I've tried auctioneers (they don't want to deal with these things any more than you do), consignment shops (they tell me to come and get them), and there they are again, back in my house. What we need next is a book that really focuses on places to send things, not necessarily for monetary gain, but to ensure they don't end up in a landfill. My late mother-in-law used to say that you spend the first half of your life acquiring things and the next half trying to get rid of them. She was right. You can't just toss a two-hundred year old fish slice. So where do you send it?

Being and Nothingness Free Pdf

ISBN: 0671867806
Title: Being and Nothingness Pdf
Author: Jean-Paul Sartre
Published Date: 1992
Page: 811

Jean-Paul Sartre, the seminal smarty-pants of mid-century thinking, launched the existentialist fleet with the publication of Being and Nothingness in 1943. Though the book is thick, dense, and unfriendly to careless readers, it is indispensable to those interested in the philosophy of consciousness and free will. Some of his arguments are fallacious, others are unclear, but for the most part Sartre's thoughts penetrate deeply into fundamental philosophical territory. Basing his conception of self-consciousness loosely on Heidegger's "being," Sartre proceeds to sharply delineate between conscious actions ("for themselves") and unconscious ("in themselves"). It is a conscious choice, he claims, to live one's life "authentically" and in a unified fashion, or not--this is the fundamental freedom of our lives. Drawing on history and his own rich imagination for examples, Sartre offers compelling supplements to his more formal arguments. The waiter who detaches himself from his job-role sticks in the reader's memory with greater tenacity than the lengthy discussion of inauthentic life and serves to bring the full force of the argument to life. Even if you're not an angst-addicted poet from North Beach, Being and Nothingness offers you a deep conversation with a brilliant mind--unfortunately, a rare find these days. --Rob Lightner "There can be no doubt that this is a philosophy to be reckoned with, both for its own intrinsic power and as a profound symptom of our time." Source: The New York Times

Born in Paris in 1905, Sartre was a professor of philosophy when he joined the French Army at the outbreak of World War II. Captured by the Germans, he was released, after nearly a year, in 1941. He immediately joined the French resistance as a journalist. In the postwar era Jean-Paul Sartre - philosopher, critic, novelist, and dramatist - became one of the most influential men of this century. He died in Paris in 1980.

One star for the print; 5 stars for brilliance Do no buy this edition of the book. It is blurry unreadable on newspaper type paper.Open my mind to live life in-itself!!! I had a major breakthrough with Being and Nothingness, open my head.It took me a while before it sunk into my head, then pow saw how free i can be when i tap into nothingness which in turn is everything. Without the identity and bondage of body rather the freedom of being in- itself for the itself.Live for life itself!Tough read, Exceedingly informative! A classic for those interested in Existentialism or any form of contemplation about the reality of being.. Some may criticize that Jean-Paul is Atheistic, however, alot of groundwork for theism is laid by those whom do not believe. Good text!
